WIRE Düsseldorf: A Week Built on Relationships

WIRE Düsseldorf: A Week Built on Relationships

We returned from the wire Düsseldorf after a busy and highly productive week, packed with valuable conversations and strong engagement throughout. The show once again proved its worth as a global meeting point for our industry, giving us the opportunity to spend real time with customers, discuss live projects in detail, and explore new opportunities with companies looking for high performance material solutions. It is one of the few events where the pace, quality of discussion, and international reach all come together.

The week began at a slightly slower pace than expected, with travel disruption caused by the Lufthansa and Eurowings strikes impacting attendance on the opening day. However, momentum quickly built from Tuesday onwards, with a significant increase in footfall and engagement. Tuesday in particular stood out as a busy and productive day, with strong conversations taking place across both new enquiries and existing customer relationships. Having attended the show for many years, we always expect to reconnect with familiar faces, and this year was no exception. These moments are especially valuable given the geographical spread of our customer base.

The overall quality of visitors and conversations remained consistently high throughout the event. Discussions ranged from detailed technical conversations with existing customers reviewing ongoing projects, through to informal catch ups with partners we have worked with for decades. Alongside this, we welcomed a number of new contacts who were keen to learn more about our materials and capabilities. This mix of technical depth and relationship building is what sets the exhibition apart.

In terms of product interest, nickel based alloys once again attracted significant attention, particularly from customers seeking high performance solutions for demanding and harsh operating environments. These conversations highlighted the continued demand for materials that can perform reliably under pressure, reinforcing our position within this specialist area.

We engaged with a broad cross section of industries throughout the week, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and oil and gas. There was also notable interest from the nuclear sector, with several productive discussions taking place following our recent achievement of the ISO 19443 accreditation. This has clearly strengthened our position within the nuclear supply chain and opened up further opportunities for collaboration.

The exhibition also marked the introduction of our new stand, which received very positive feedback from visitors. The finished result closely matched the original design concepts and created a strong presence on the show floor. We were particularly pleased with how it supported engagement on the stand and helped facilitate conversations throughout the week.

WIRE continues to be one of the most valuable events we attend. It plays an important role in maintaining our visibility within the market, strengthening existing relationships, and ensuring we remain front of mind with both current and prospective customers. The level of engagement and the quality of discussions we experienced this year reinforces its importance to our ongoing growth.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us during the exhibition. We genuinely appreciate your support, your business, and the ongoing relationships we continue to build together.
